NH Employment Security to Host the Rochester Job and Resource Fair on November 6th

Businesses looking to hire will meet with interested job seekers at the New Hampshire Employment Security (NHES) sponsored Rochester Job and Resource Fair on November 6th at the American Legion Hall located at 94 Eastern Avenue Rochester NH 03867 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The Rochester Job and Resource Fair is open to all job seekers.

A number of hiring employers and community partners from a wide assortment of industries will be on hand to speak with job seekers. These employers are looking to fill an array of positions, including Military Opportunities, Insurance Sales Agents, IT Specialists, LNA, LPN, RN, Machine Operators, Machinists, Manufacturing Engineers, Restaurant Cooks, Warehouse Personnel, Customer Service Agents, and Delivery Drivers to name a few. A number of community partners will be available to discuss educational opportunities and the multitude of services they provide.

“Events like the Rochester Job and Resource Fair, which connect New Hampshire’s talented workers with employers looking to hire, are a critical part of our efforts to strengthen our innovation economy,” Governor Maggie Hassan said. “By sponsoring this job fair, New Hampshire Employment Security is helping to support a strong middle class and a stronger, more innovative New Hampshire.”

“This job and resource fair is a great opportunity for employers to gain access to a local ready and willing workforce,” states New Hampshire Employment Security Commissioner George Copadis. “Having employees from the communities that you serve strengthens your business and makes our communities stronger. We encourage employers to attend and hope anyone in the job-hunting process will take advantage of this free event.”

NHES provides free services, resources, and tools to assist both job seekers and employers with the entire job search process, hiring and employment needs. NHES has services available online and onsite to assist job seekers including an automated Job Match System, internet access, local papers, book and video library, employment counseling, networking groups, and career assessments. Employer Seminars and weekly workshops are held covering such topics as job searching, resume writing and interviewing techniques.
