New Hampshire Employment Security to Host the Laconia Job & Resource Fair

CONCORD- NH Employment Security (NHES) is hosting the Laconia Job & Resource Fair on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 10:00-2:00 at the Belknap Mall located at 96 Daniel Webster Highway, Belmont, NH 03220. Job seekers will have access to employers seeking candidates to fill positions in a broad range of industries, including hospitality, health care, finance, education and many more. A full list of participating employers will be available on the day of the event.

“New Hampshire Employment Security’s Job and Resource Fairs, which connect New Hampshire’s talented workers with employers looking to hire, are an important part of our efforts to expand middle class opportunity and keep our economy moving in the right direction, and I’d like to thank New Hampshire Employment Security and participating employers for working together to make this fair possible,” Governor Hassan said.

Executive Councilor Joseph Kenney states, "The job fair is a great opportunity to meet with employers in the area who are seeking to hire quality people who want to work in the Lakes Region. No better way to network and develop your job application skills then to stop by and meet the people who want to meet you."

This is an excellent opportunity to help the people of New Hampshire find new job opportunities and strengthen their resumes. I encourage all those seeking new employment, or better employment to attend the Laconia Job & Resource Fair” according to New Hampshire Employment Security Commissioner George Copadis. Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with many local companies that are hiring, who will be pre-screening candidates on the spot as well as taking resumes and applications. It also allows job seekers to network with employers and organizations obtain career information and gain experience speaking with prospective employers.

NHES provides free services, resources, and tools to assist both job seekers and employers with the entire job search process, hiring and employment needs. NHES has services available online and onsite to assist job seekers including an automated Job Match System, internet access, local papers, employment counseling, and career assessments, as well as, workshops on job searching, résumé writing and interviewing techniques.
