2:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Howard Recreation Center Auditorium and Gymnasium
129 Pleasant Street
Concord, NH

If you are looking for career opportunities within State Government and the New Hampshire Department of Corrections, you should attend the New Hampshire Department of Corrections Job Fair on Tuesday, May 12th, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Howard Recreation Center Auditorium and Gymnasium, located at 129 Pleasant Street, Concord NH.

You will have access to current New Hampshire Department of Corrections (NH DOC) employees that can fully explain the career opportunities with the New Hampshire Department of Corrections, specifically careers as a Corrections Officer and a Corrections Officer Trainee. They can provide insight of day-to-day life in the corrections field. The NH Department of Corrections is comprised of a great team of productive and diversified professionals who work diligently every day to operate a safe and secure prison and provide effective community supervision in order to enhance public safety to the citizens of New Hampshire and they are looking for individuals who want to play a role in this important mission.

New Hampshire Employment Security and the New Hampshire Department of Corrections are enthusiastic to provide job seekers an opportunity to meet with NH Department of Corrections staff. The NH DOC is actively involved in the recruitment and promotion of effective and efficient employees, and will be pre-screening candidates on the spot as well as taking resumes and applications for Corrections Officers and Corrections Officer Trainee positions. Interested job seekers should come prepared with their resume, dress professionally and be prepared to be interviewed.

“The Department of Corrections has been working to increase its hiring in order to reduce its overtime costs and the strain on current employees. This job fair is an important part of the effort to help build our corrections workforce, which is critical to keeping our communities safe and preserving justice, while providing good career opportunities for our citizens. I want to thank the New Hampshire Department of Corrections, as well as the New Hampshire Employment Security, for hosting this important job fair”, states Governor Maggie Hassan.

Department of Corrections Commissioner William Wrenn said, “The Department of Corrections is an integral part of the criminal justice system, strengthening public safety by achieving excellence in correctional practices. A Corrections career can be a rewarding one that leads to satisfying growth opportunities and we are actively seeking qualified men and women to add to our team.”

“This Job Fair is another example of the statewide effort by New Hampshire Employment Security to connect job seekers with hiring employers, in order to continue to get the unemployed back to work and the under-employed into positions that better reflect their skills and true potential,” said George Copadis, Commissioner of NH Employment Security.

NHES provides free services, resources, and tools to assist both job seekers and employers with the entire job search process, hiring and employment needs. NHES has services available online and onsite to assist job seekers including an automated Job Match System, internet access, local papers, employment counseling, and career assessments, as well as, workshops on job searching, resume writing and interviewing techniques.
