Littleton NH - New Hampshire Employment Security held a Veterans Resource and Job Seeker Information Seminar in Littleton on April 20, 2012. Ten local office veterans attended the workshop, which featured informational sessions as well as an exchange of viewpoints and ideas on topics such as veteran's benefits, work search strategies and other resources that can help improve a veteran's quality of life.

Participants' service experience spanned from the Vietnam Era through the current war against terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq. Several important and beneficial exchanges of information occurred during the seminar portion of the workshop.

This initial, quarterly workshop was led off by keynote speaker Brian Toney, the New Hampshire Veteran's Council North Country Veteran's Service Officer. Presentations were also provided on the latest jobs available to veterans and a discussion ensued about those local and national employers who tend to be genuinely "Vet friendly". The participating veterans were asked for and provided input on topics or other services they would like to see addressed during future workshops.
