The percent of persons at or below the poverty level is one of the indicators for social assistance in New Hampshire. The number of people receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families) is reported. The number of Social Security recipients, recipients by age and status of retired, nondisabled widow or widower, and disabled workers are reported. Rehabilitation services are tracked by specific service provided. Counts of licensed day care facilities and the number of children cared for are also provided.
