NHES does not collect personal identifying information about you when you visit its web site unless you:
You can use your own PC to access the Job Match System or the Web Claims application on our Web site or visit the NHES office nearest you and use PC's located within our Resource Centers. All employers and job seekers with whom you may be matched are registered with NHES.
If you voluntarily register for work, disclosure of your social security number and other personal and identifying information is voluntary. If you are required to register for work or are filing for unemployment benefits, disclosure of your social security number and other personal identifying information including name, address, date of birth, telephone number is mandatory. Please see PRIVACY NOTICE in Rights and Obligations for further information concerning the social security number. NHES codes the information so that your social security number, date of birth, race, sex, disability and citizenship information is not available to the employer. The personal identifying information is only disclosed if permitted by law, court order or with your consent.
All reasonable precautions are being taken to keep the information you provide private and secure. The Job Match System and Web Claims use a Secure Socket Layer (SSL).
You should be aware that using a shared computer may enable others to view your personal information.
When you visit our site to read or download information, NHES collects and stores the following information:
The above information is used by software programs to create summary statistics which allow NHES to assess the number of visitors to the different sections of its site, identify what information is being viewed the most, monitor system performance and to determine better technical design specifications.
You might also send an email to NHES which holds personal information, for example your mailing address or social security number. We advise not including your social security number within an email since there is no guaranty of privacy. Information collected in this manner is used solely for responding to requests for help with unemployment compensation claims, or problems with the Job Match System. NHES forwards your email to department employees who are best able to respond to your request.
