Salem Job & Resource Fair to be Held May 10th

CONCORD - New Hampshire Employment Security (NHES) is hosting the Salem Job & Resource Fair on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. at Rockingham Park located at 79 Rockingham Park Boulevard, Salem NH 03079. Job seekers will have access to employers seeking candidates to fill positions in a broad range of industries. A full list of participating employers will be available on the day of the event. This great hiring event is free and open to all job seekers.

“New Hampshire Employment Security’s Job and Resource Fairs, which connect New Hampshire’s talented workers with employers looking to hire, are an important part of our efforts to expand middle class opportunity and keep our economy moving in the right direction, and I’d like to thank New Hampshire Employment Security and participating employers for working together to make this fair possible,” Governor Hassan said.

“The Jobs and Resource Fair that will be hosted in Salem is a great opportunity for citizens looking for good jobs to attend to learn more about the types of work and positions available at companies in the greater Salem area,” said Senate President Chuck Morse. “I am proud to support the job fair and the work that the New Hampshire Employment Security office does in bringing these kinds of events to communities across the State.”

Executive Councilor Chris Sununu says, “New Hampshire Employment Security has done an outstanding job engaging with a committed workforce on a one-on-one basis to help ensure job opportunities that are lasting and meaningful to the people of New Hampshire”.

“Employer representatives will be on hand to share information about specific careers, answer career-related questions and provide information about immediate or future employment opportunities with their company,” states Commissioner George Copadis of New Hampshire Employment Security. Commissioner Copadis further states, “The Salem Job and Resource Fair is another effort by New Hampshire Employment Security to stimulate New Hampshire’s economy, make our local employers more successful, and provide opportunities for finding that next good opportunity for both the unemployed and underemployed”.

NHES provides free services, resources, and tools to assist both job seekers and employers with the entire job search process, hiring and employment needs. NHES has services available online and on site to assist job seekers including an automated Job Match System, internet access, local papers, employment counseling, and career assessments, as well as, workshops on job searching, resume writing and interviewing techniques.
