Concord Job & Resource Fair to be held September 22, 2016

CONCORD-New Hampshire Employment Security is hosting the Concord Job &
Resource Fair on Thursday, September 22th 2016 from 10:00 to 2:00 at the
Steeplegate Mall located at 270 Loudon Road Concord NH 03301.
Whether job seekers are looking to re-enter the workforce or make a career change,
they will be exposed to many new employment prospects at the Concord Job and
Resource Fair. Those interested in expanding their network with valuable new
contacts and meet recruiters from a diverse variety of private and public-sector
employers, all eager to hire for full- and part-time positions ranging from entry-level to
management are encouraged to attend this great networking and hiring event. A full
list of participating employers will be available on the day of the event.

Hampshire’s talented workers with employers looking to hire, are an important part of
our efforts to expand middle class opportunity and keep our economy moving in the
right direction, and I’d like to thank New Hampshire Employment Security and
participating employers for working together to make this fair possible,” Governor
Hassan said.

Resource Fair helps expand opportunity for everyone, including working people and
working families, right here in the greater Concord area. I am very grateful for the
strong leadership of Commissioner Copadis, Deputy Commissioner Lavers, as well as
their great staff, for their tireless work helping our unemployed workers, their families,
and our economy."
Executive Councilor Colin Van Ostern says, “The Merrimack Valley Region is home to
a great workforce, and this is an important opportunity for local residents to connect
directly with regional and statewide employers - a real win-win for our state economy
and NH workers”.
“The Concord Job and Resource Fair is another example of the statewide effort by New
Hampshire Employment Security to connect job seekers with employers in order to
continue to get the unemployed back to work and the under-employed into positions
that better reflect their skills and true potential, as a department we are delivering on
our promise to connect Granite Staters with real opportunities” said George Copadis,
Commissioner of New Hampshire Employment Security.
NHES provides free services, resources, and tools to assist both job seekers and
employers with the entire job search process, hiring and employment needs. NHES
has services available online and onsite to assist job seekers including an automated
Job Match System, internet access, local papers, employment counseling, and career
assessments, as well as, workshops on job searching, resume writing and interviewing
techniques.
