New Hampshire Employment Security Relocating Concord Local Office and Administrative Buildings
The NH Works Concord Local Office will relocate and offer services at the newly renovated Tobey Building at 45 South Fruit Street across from Memorial Field in Concord starting Monday, May 12th.

CONCORD, May 2, 2014 – The New Hampshire Department of Employment Security is pleased to announce the relocation of the NH Works Concord local office and Administrative buildings to 45 South Fruit Street Concord effective Monday, May 12th.

The Department is consolidating about two-thirds of its statewide workforce, including the NH Works Concord local office and administrative offices, from four buildings into one facility to better serve the people of New Hampshire. The Department’s eleven other local offices located throughout the state, from Berlin to Nashua and Keene to Portsmouth, will continue to operate out of their existing facilities and will not be impacted by this move.

The Department first provided notice of the move to the public back in March. The Department will not be reducing hours at the NH Works Concord local office during the move which is scheduled to occur on Friday, May 9th.

“Maintaining services during the move, and making sure that the relocation of the NH Works Concord local office does not impact or inconvenience the members of the public that we serve, was our top priority,” stated New Hampshire Employment Security Commissioner George Copadis.

During the day of the move on Friday, May 9th, the Department’s staff will continue to offer assistance and services to the public at its existing location at 10 West Street in Concord. However, to the extent possible, the public is encouraged to visit the office for assistance and services prior to the move at 10 West Street, or after the move at the new facility at 45 South Fruit Street. The new facility is conveniently located on the state office campus, and is on a readily accessible bus route, for local residents without private transportation.

The New Hampshire Department of Employment Security provides a free public Employment Service through a statewide network of Job and Information Centers, providing a broad range of assisted and self-directed employment and career related services and labor market information to all customers, as well as paying Unemployment Compensation benefits in a timely manner to eligible claimants.
