Derry Job & Resource Fair to be held November 10th

New Hampshire Employment Security is proud to sponsor the Derry Job & Resource Fair being held on November 10, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Marion Gerrish Community Center located at 39 West Broadway, Derry, NH.

A number of hiring employers and community partners from a wide assortment of industries will be on hand to speak with job seekers. These employers are looking to fill an array of positions, including Military Opportunities, Insurance Sales Agents, IT Specialists, LNA, LPN, RN, Machine Operators, Machinists, Manufacturing Engineers, Restaurant Cooks, Warehouse Personnel, Customer Service Agents, and Delivery Drivers to name a few. A number of community partners will be available to discuss educational opportunities and the multitude of services they provide.

“Events like the Derry Job & Resource Fair, which connect New Hampshire’s talented workers with employers looking to hire, are an invaluable part of our efforts to strengthen our innovation economy,” Governor Maggie Hassan said. “By supporting and hosting this job fair, New Hampshire Employment Security is helping to build a stronger, more innovative New Hampshire.”

“This Job and Resource Fair is another effort by New Hampshire Employment Security to stimulate New Hampshire’s economy, make our local employers more successful and provide opportunities for finding that next good job for both the unemployed and underemployed”, says New Hampshire Employment Security Commissioner George Copadis. “People that are seeking work need opportunities like this great networking and hiring event to interact with organizations that are seeking new talent. We are excited to help make these connections.”

NHES provides free services, resources, and tools to assist both job seekers and employers with the entire job search process, hiring and employment needs. NHES has services available online and onsite to assist job seekers including an automated Job Match System, internet access, local papers, employment counseling, and career assessments, as well as, workshops on job searching, resume writing and interviewing techniques.
