CLAREMONT - The NH Department of Employment Security has to temporarily close its regional office located in Claremont, NH, while conducting renovations to the parking area. The work being done will take an indeterminate amount of time, and to ensure there is no interruptions of services the office and its staff will be moving to the Claremont Savings Bank.

The Claremont Local Office, which is located at 404 Washington Street, will be closed beginning June 30th, and moving to the 3rd Floor of the Claremont Savings Bank located at 145 Broad Street. The staff will be available to assist customers with all NHES services that include filing unemployment compensation claims and conducting a job search from 8a.m. to 4:30p.m., Monday through Friday. This temporary location will continue until the approximate date of August 22nd.

"NH Employment Security is committed to ensuring that services are not interrupted by this temporary relocation while the Department does reconstruction of the parking lot", according to Commissioner Richard Brothers. He also wanted to express that "the Claremont Savings Bank's level of commitment to their local communities to ensure customers have access to and receive all available NHES services is commendable and much appreciated."

If customers have questions regarding filing an unemployment insurance claim or a claim that has already been filed, they can call 1-800-266-2252.
