CONWAY - A record amount of snowfall this winter has hit New Hampshire and taken up residence on roofs around the State. The NH Department of Employment Security has not been immune to this onslaught. Unfortunately, the NHES regional office located in Conway, NH has to be temporarily closed for a yet undetermined amount of time.
The Conway Local Office, which is located at 518 White Mountain Highway, will not be open for services, however, the Conway Public Library has graciously agreed to allow a NHES staff member to be located at their facility at 15 Main Street in Conway beginning Monday, March 10th. The staff member from NHES will be available to assist customers with filing unemployment compensation claims and conducting a job search from 10:00am to Noon and from 1:00 to 4:30pm.
“NH Employment Security is committed to ensuring that services are not interrupted by this temporary closing while the Department makes arrangements to reopen a fully operational office”, according to Commissioner Richard Brothers. He also wanted to express that "the Conway Public Library Trustees and Director Margaret Marschner's level of commitment to their communities to ensure customers receive all available services is commendable and much appreciated."
Customers of NH Employment Security that need access to computers may use the computers available for public use at the Conway Public Library, and if assistance is needed the NHES staff member will be on-site. If customers have questions regarding filing an unemployment insurance claim or a claim that has already been filed, they can call 1-800-266-2252. For all other questions or general information, please call 1-800-852-3400 or go to www.nh.gov/nhes.
